The redesigned ladle has been in operation for 31 months at a leading integrated steel mill in Canada. What makes it truly remarkable is the 6-metric ton (1.88%) increase in average heat size, a direct result of our team’s focus on weight reduction and structural optimization.

When tasked with optimizing a ladle design that was already in operation, our team took on the challenge with a clear goal in mind: increase capacity while ensuring that the redesign wouldn’t require major changes to the surrounding equipment.

This added to nearly 6MT per heat- allowing our customer to pump out around $6k worth of product every cycle. Leading to hundreds of millions of dollars in added production over the lifetime of a ladle.
